| Beschrijving keerzijde | The denomination 25 CENTS is prominently displayed in the centre of the field, with the country name CANADA and the date 1911 arranged around it. Two crossed maple boughs flank the central inscription, their stems bound at the base, while a heraldic crown surmounts the composition. The entire design is enclosed within a dentillated border, presenting a clean and symmetrical numismatic layout characteristic of early twentieth-century Canadian coinage. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The 1911 Canadian coinage series omitted the phrase "DEI GRATIA" — "by the Grace of God" — from George V's obverse legend, a decision made during the transition from Edward VII's dies. Public outcry was immediate; Canadian clergy and conservative press condemned the omission as an affront to the Crown's divine mandate. The "godless" coins, as they were quickly dubbed, were struck for only a single year before the Royal Mint restored the abbreviation "DEI GRA" to the 1912 dies.
Across all denominations, the 1911 issue represents a one-year type. The quarter is the most accessible of the set.
