| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George V, rendered in high relief after the portrait by Edgar Bertram MacKennal. The King is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state with an ermine collar and ornamental chain, conveying full regal dignity. The truncation of the bust is detailed with military and ceremonial dress elements. The peripheral legend reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP:, interrupted at the top by the crown, and runs clockwise around the field within a beaded inner border. |
