Surrounding this central medallion, a large high-relief depiction of a honeycomb teeming with honeybees fills the field, referencing the beehive symbol of Deseret. The arc legend LOST STATES OF AMERICA runs along the upper rim, with E PLURIBUS UNUM inscribed below it, and a ring of five-pointed stars flanks the lower portion of the border. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a bold left-facing portrait bust of Brigham Young, the founding governor of the proposed State of Deseret, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and beard. The arc legend STATE of DESERET curves along the upper rim, flanked on both sides by a semicircle of five-pointed stars. The founding date 1849 appears in the lower left field, with the engraver's initials JI visible near the truncation. The name BRIGHAM YOUNG is inscribed along the lower border, and the design is framed by a fine beaded inner border. |
