| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a distinctive two-level design. At center, a circular inset displays the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Ian Rank-Broadley, with the legends ELIZABETH II to the left and COOK ISLANDS to the right, 25 CENTS above, the date 2020 below, and the engraver's initials IRB beneath the portrait. Surrounding this central medallion, a large high-relief depiction of a honeycomb teeming with honeybees fills the field, referencing the beehive symbol of Deseret. The arc legend LOST STATES OF AMERICA runs along the upper rim, with E PLURIBUS UNUM inscribed below it, and a ring of five-pointed stars flanks the lower portion of the border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The State of Deseret was a provisional government proposed by Mormon settlers in 1849, covering a vast swath of the American West including present-day Utah, Nevada, and portions of five other states. Congress rejected it, creating the much smaller Utah Territory instead — and the name "Deseret" was quietly shelved, surviving mainly in Utah state symbols and LDS institutional names. Cook Islands has built a substantial collector coin program around American historical curiosities, and this series targets that niche directly.
