25 Céntimos Jávea

Sindicato Agrícola de Jávea was an agricultural collective on the Costa Blanca that issued emergency fractional paper during the Spanish Civil War — part of the massive proliferation of locally-produced billetes de necesidad that filled the coin vacuum after the Republic's silver and copper coinage essentially vanished from circulation by mid-1937. Hundreds of municipalities, unions, and collectives across Republican territory did the same, with wildly varying print quality and security.

The dry seal — a blind emboss with no ink — was the primary authentication device, which made forgery detection entirely dependent on physical handling. Gari Mon#793-A distinguishes this from at least one other known variant within the Jávea local issues.
