备注	Cornudella de Montsant is a small municipality in the Priorat comarca of Tarragona, and like hundreds of other Catalan and Spanish towns during the Civil War, its local government stepped in to fill a severe shortage of small-denomination coins — metallic coinage having been hoarded, melted down, or simply stopped being minted as the Republican monetary system buckled under wartime pressure. These locally issued paper vouchers, known as moneda local or paper moneda, were legal only within the issuing municipality's jurisdiction and generally worthless outside it. Turró's catalogue remains the standard reference for this material, documenting over a thousand distinct emissions from Catalonia alone between 1936 and 1939.
