The scroll bears the legend LIBERTAD / 15 / de SEPE de / 1821 in multiple lines. Below the central device, in the lower field, the silver fineness and mint year appear as 0835 * 1893. She holds a palm frond in her left hand and rests her right hand upon a stone tablet or plinth inscribed 30 DE JUNIO DE 1871, commemorating the Liberal Revolution. A balance scale is visible to her right. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 25 CENTs appears prominently along the lower exergual area.
