Obverse description A horse depicted in profile walking to the right occupies the central field, rendered in a bold, slightly stylized manner characteristic of Silk Road coinage. The figure is set within a circular border, surrounded by a continuous Kharosthi legend running along the periphery of the coin. The script, reading the royal title and denomination, is distributed evenly around the equine motif. The irregular flan and hammered fabric are consistent with the provincial workshop production of the Khotan Kingdom during the early Common Era.

Reverse description The central device features a tamgha — a dynastic emblematic symbol — rendered in raised relief at the center of the field, enclosed within a circular inner border. Surrounding this device, four Chinese seal-script characters are arranged in the four quadrants of the field, reading 銅銭重廿四銖, meaning 'copper coin weighing twenty-four zhu.' The combination of a local dynastic tamgha with Chinese metrological script reflects the bilingual and bicultural monetary policy of the Khotan Kingdom, bridging Indic and Sinitic traditions on a single flan.
