| Opis rewersu | A standing figure of the Wild Man of the Woods (Wilder Mann), the traditional heraldic supporter of Brunswick, is depicted at center in full length, facing slightly to the viewer's left, holding a pine tree or club over his left shoulder and resting his right hand on his hip. The figure stands on a rocky or forested ground line, with the mintmark C· placed in the exergue below. The denomination numeral 24 appears to the right of the figure in the field. The circumferential legend BR·ET·LVN·DVX·S·R·I·A·TH·ET·EL· runs along the upper border, denoting George III's titles as Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Arch Treasurer and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. |
