| Descripción del reverso | The crowned Portuguese royal coat of arms displayed prominently in the central field, comprising a complex escutcheon featuring the five quinas of Portugal arranged in a cross pattern, surrounded by ornate baroque scrollwork and flanked by laurel and palm branches. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The rim is decorated with a fine beaded border. No legend appears on the reverse, the design being entirely dominated by the armorial composition typical of Portuguese gold coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. |
