| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style typical of Black Sea colonial coinage. The hair is depicted in thick, wavy locks falling behind the neck, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the portrait occupying the central field. A circular countermark impression is visible in the lower left field, partially overlapping the neck, applied subsequent to the original striking. The surface shows typical patination consistent with prolonged circulation. |

| Reverse description | Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, wings closed, head turned to face left, rendered in a bold, schematic style characteristic of western Pontic bronze coinage. The Greek legend ΤΟΜΙ appears in the upper field above the eagle, with ΛΕΩΝ (or ΛΕΟΝ) distributed in the field to the right, identifying the issuing city of Tomis and likely a magistrate's name. The thunderbolt beneath the eagle is depicted with stylised zigzag projections. The flan edges are irregular and chipped, consistent with hammered production and heavy circulation wear. |
