| Opis rewersu | The full coat of arms of the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek occupies the central field, featuring a circular shield bearing a couchant lion to the left, a standing Voortrekker figure, and a wagon wheel with an anchor below, all within a rope-bordered roundel. The shield is flanked by two Vierkleur flags serving as supporters, with a displayed eagle perched at the crest above. Two six-pointed stars flank the date at right. The denomination 2 1/2 appears to the left of the arms and SHILLINGS arcs across the upper field, with the year divided on either side of the crest. Below the shield, a two-part scroll cartouche bears the motto EENDRAGT MAAAKT MAGT, with foliate and floral ornaments beneath. The design is contained within a beaded border. |
