| Obverse description | The Ugandan coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a representation of the River Nile in the base of the shield and a scroll bearing the national motto below. The date '20 06' is divided on either side of the arms in the field. The legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs along the upper periphery, while '2000 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border. |

| Additional information |
Uganda issued a series of silver-plated copper-nickel pieces in the mid-2000s featuring European football legends, and Rummenigge's inclusion reflects his standing as one of the defining forwards of the 1970s and 80s — two-time Ballon d'Or winner, 1974 World Cup champion with West Germany, and captain of the side that reached the 1982 and 1986 finals. These are essentially medallions dressed as legal tender, produced for the collector novelty market with no meaningful circulation history in Uganda itself.
