| Additional information |
Uganda's silver wildlife issues of the early 1990s were part of a broader African collector coin program that proliferated after several central banks discovered foreign-exchange revenue in the bullion commemorative market. The Bank of Uganda had limited prior experience with precious-metal coinage, and these issues were almost certainly produced by a European contract mint rather than domestically.
