Mô tả mặt sau The national emblem of the Republic of China — a white plum blossom within a blue disc, here rendered in outline — is displayed prominently in the upper central field, flanked by two symmetrical olive or wheat branches forming a wreath. To the left and right of the wreath, Chinese inscriptions denote the denomination and fineness: '新臺幣貳仟圓' (New Taiwan Dollar 2000) on the left and '成色9999 含金一英兩' (fineness .9999, one troy ounce gold) on the right. Below, a multi-line Latin legend in bold relief reads: 'COMMEMORATING THE 20 MAY 2012 INAUGURATION OF THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (TAIWAN) THE FIFTH ELECTED BY POPULAR VOTE'.

Thông tin bổ sung

Struck to mark the second inauguration of President Ma Ying-jeou, who took office for his final term in May 2012 on a platform of cross-strait economic engagement. His first term had produced the landmark Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Beijing in 2010 — the closest formal economic arrangement between the two governments since 1949. The Central Mint issued this piece in fine gold at one troy ounce, a format reserved for the most politically significant commemoratives in Taiwan's modern series.
