| Obverse description | Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Carl XVI Gustaf occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with a naturalistic portrait style. The legend arcs across the upper periphery reading CARL XVI GUSTAF, while the lower legend SVERIGES KONUNG I 30 ÅR curves along the bottom rim, commemorating 30 years of the king's reign. The portrait is uncrowned and undraped, presenting the king in a restrained, modern numismatic style engraved by Ernst Nordin. A raised rim borders the design on both sides. |
