| 裏面の説明 | A highly detailed, deeply struck high-relief composition depicts the hero Perseus, wearing a winged helmet and a draped cloak, embracing Andromeda in an intimate and dynamic pose reminiscent of Baroque sculptural tradition. The two figures gaze at one another face to face, their flowing hair intertwined in the field. Andromeda's gilded wrist shackle and chain, rendered in selective gold gilding, appear prominently at the lower centre as a focal accent, symbolising her recent liberation. Perseus's elaborately decorated greaves and weaponry are visible at the lower right. The legend PERSEUS and ANDROMEDA curves along the left and lower-right border, set against a background of scrolling vine ornament encircling the rim. |
