The two figures gaze at one another face to face, their flowing hair intertwined in the field. Andromeda's gilded wrist shackle and chain, rendered in selective gold gilding, appear prominently at the lower centre as a focal accent, symbolising her recent liberation. Perseus's elaborately decorated greaves and weaponry are visible at the lower right.
