| 裏面の説明 | A highly detailed, front-facing depiction of Mahakala, the wrathful Hindu and Buddhist protective deity, rendered in high relief against an ornate background. The deity is shown in a fearsome aspect, holding a skull cup (kapala) and a flaming rod or club, with multiple arms extending outward in a dynamic composition. Two fantastic mythological creatures, likely makara or leonine beings, are positioned symmetrically in the upper left and upper right fields, flanking the deity. The overall design is executed in an antique finish with selective gilding accentuating key iconographic elements. The legend MAHAKALA appears prominently within the design. |
