| Reverse description | The reverse features an exceptionally detailed high-relief depiction of Saint Peter crucified upside down on a wooden cross, referencing his martyrdom as recorded in early Christian tradition. The figure of Saint Peter is rendered with remarkable anatomical precision, his inverted body suspended upon a textured wooden cross whose grain is faithfully reproduced in the strike. Baroque scrollwork, shell motifs, and foliate ornaments frame the lower portion of the composition in a decorative cartouche. The inscription ST.
