Obverse description The obverse is struck in the form of two ornate crossed keys — the traditional symbol of Saint Peter — rendered in high relief with elaborate Baroque-style decorative flourishes. The shafts and bows of the keys are highly detailed, incorporating floral and foliate ornamental elements at their intersection, with architectural motifs suggesting St. Peter's Basilica visible in the central field. The inscriptions REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, 2000 FRANCS CFA, 2oz Ag 999, and 2025 appear in bold raised lettering across the lower central portion of the design, set within a cartouche of scrolling acanthus leaves and shell motifs. The entire composition is presented with an antique finish, enhancing the sculptural depth of the relief work.
