| Obverse description | Central motif depicts an ornate imperial throne with a tall, tufted crimson red upholstered back, rendered in vivid colour relief and flanked by gilded lion-head armrests resting upon treasure chests. A gilt imperial crown surmounts the throne's apex, while crossed weapons and classical allegorical figures — including a winged figure holding a chalice — appear in the background field in high relief. A human skull is prominently placed at the base of the throne, lending a dramatic memento mori character to the composition. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN curves along the left and upper periphery, with the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA, the fineness AG 999, the weight designation 2 OZ, and the date 2025 distributed across the remaining border in Latin characters. |
