Opmerkingen

Europa Island is an uninhabited French territory in the Mozambique Channel, administered from Réunion as part of the Scattered Islands. It has no resident population, no economy, and no monetary system. Notes issued in its name are fantasy pieces — produced for the collector market with no authorization from any central bank or monetary authority, and no legal tender status anywhere.

The polymer substrate and the denomination in francs are purely decorative choices. France abolished the franc in 2002.
