Beschrijving voorzijde	Intaglio portrait of a man wearing a traditional cap occupies the left portion of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint of interlocking geometric diamond patterns in green, blue, and orange. To the right of the portrait, a vignette of two doves in flight flanks the central national coat of arms, with the motto 'TRAVAIL JUSTICE SOLIDARITÉ' on the shield. The upper right bears a colour-shifting optically variable diamond device with the letters 'RG', and the date 'le 1er MARS 1960' appears in the upper centre.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The central vignette presents an intaglio landscape view of Mount Nimba rising above a foreground of savannah vegetation and scattered trees, rendered in green tones against a geometric guilloche underprint. A silhouette map of Guinea appears in brown at the upper left, accompanied by a colour-shifting diamond optically variable device. A group of tall palm trees occupies the right side of the note, and a vertical security thread runs through the centre.
