| Beschrijving keerzijde | A high-relief figural composition occupies the central field, depicting Saint Martin of Tours as a bearded bishop, shown in three-quarter view, holding a pastoral staff (crozier) in his right hand and raising his left hand in a gesture of blessing toward a seated, partially draped figure of a healed man to his left. The saint is clad in a flowing episcopal cope rendered with fine drapery detail. The legend SZENT MÁRTON curves along the upper left periphery and SAVARIA along the lower periphery, with A. D. 316 inscribed along the right border, commemorating the saint's birth year in Savaria. A small mint engraver's mark appears in the lower right field. |
