Beschrijving voorzijde The central field features the full Arms of Guyana, depicting a shield supported by two jaguars rampant, the dexter supporter holding a pickaxe and the sinister a sugar cane stalk. The shield is surmounted by a helmet and crest bearing a Canje pheasant amid tropical foliage, with a stylized Amerindian headdress above. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in three segments: ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE DESTINY in raised Latin lettering. The country name GUYANA arcs along the upper legend, and the date 2007 appears in the exergue below the arms.

Aanvullende informatie

Guyana's commemorative silver program in the mid-2000s was largely produced under contract by the Pobjoy Mint in Surrey, England — a common arrangement for smaller Caribbean and South American nations whose own minting infrastructure couldn't support precious metal commemorative production. The $2000 face value is notional; it vastly exceeds any circulating denomination Guyana has ever fielded.
