| Obverse description | The central field features the full Arms of Guyana, depicting a shield supported by two jaguars rampant, the dexter supporter holding a pickaxe and the sinister a sugar cane stalk. The shield is surmounted by a helmet and crest bearing a Canje pheasant amid tropical foliage, with a stylized Amerindian headdress above. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in three segments: ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE DESTINY in raised Latin lettering. The country name GUYANA arcs along the upper legend, and the date 2007 appears in the exergue below the arms. |

Guyana's commemorative silver program in the mid-2000s was largely produced under contract by the Pobjoy Mint in Surrey, England — a common arrangement for smaller Caribbean and South American nations whose own minting infrastructure couldn't support precious metal commemorative production. The $2000 face value is notional; it vastly exceeds any circulating denomination Guyana has ever fielded.
