On the right side of the coin there is a portrait of Raqymjan Qoshqarbaev in a military uniform from the period of the Great Patriotic War, who was the first to raise the flag on the Reichstag on April 30, 1945. To the left of the portrait there is a badge of the highest degree of distinction in Kazakhstan `HALYQ QAHARMANY`, which he was awarded posthumously in 1999. To the right of the portrait there is the year of issue of the coin and the logo of the National Bank. At the bottom of the coin there is a stylized image of a fragment of the battle at the Reichstag with inscriptions HALYQ QAHARMANY, 100 JYL, RAQYMJAN QOSHQARBAEV.
