| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a sweeping architectural panorama of the historic city of Yaroslavl, set within an elaborate foliate and vegetal ornamental border. Prominent temple ensembles, the facade of the theatre, a classical rotunda, and an obelisk occupy the middle ground, while at centre the coat of arms of Yaroslavl is flanked by a scene depicting the daily life of the city's ancient inhabitants. In the foreground, a tall-masted sailing vessel sails upon the river, evoking the city's mercantile heritage. The inscription ЯРОСЛАВЛЬ is engraved along the lower portion of the design in bold Cyrillic lettering. |
