| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, wings lowered, enclosed within a circle of dots. The semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ arcs below the eagle, while the denomination ДВЕСТИ РУБЛЕЙ is inscribed above. Below the central device, the fineness designation Ag 925, the year of issue 2010 г., the fine metal content, the Saint Petersburg Mint mark СПМД, and an individual serial number appear in two lines to the right. The entire design is framed along the rim by two concentric lines interspersed with four ornamental decorative elements. |

Prominent temple ensembles, the facade of the theatre, a classical rotunda, and an obelisk occupy the middle ground, while at centre the coat of arms of Yaroslavl is flanked by a scene depicting the daily life of the city's ancient inhabitants. In the foreground, a tall-masted sailing vessel sails upon the river, evoking the city's mercantile heritage. The inscription ЯРОСЛАВЛЬ is engraved along the lower portion of the design in bold Cyrillic lettering. |
