Obverse description At left, an intaglio-style portrait vignette of French architect Charles Garnier, after the 1868 oil on canvas by Paul Baudry, with the dates 1825–1898 inscribed beneath; at centre, a finely detailed architectural rendering of the Opéra Garnier façade as inaugurated on 5 January 1875, set against a guilloche underprint. At right, a stylised vignette of ballet dancers within a decorative rose motif frames the design, with denomination and issuer inscriptions rendered in both word and numeral form in Spanish across the note face.
