The figures are modeled with expressive, dynamic postures conveying chaos and abandon, filling the entire field without any inscriptions. The composition is executed in a vigorous expressionist style characteristic of German Notgeld art of the period. |

Heilbronn issued this piece in November 1923, at the absolute peak of Weimar hyperinflation — the month the Papiermark finally collapsed entirely before Schacht's Rentenmark stabilization took effect on the 15th. A face value of 200 billion marks was not an abstraction by that point; it was roughly the cost of a loaf of bread a few weeks prior, and falling. Municipal notgeld at this denomination exists because the Reichsbank had functionally ceased to supply usable coinage, forcing cities to fill the gap themselves.
The gilded brass construction distinguishes the .3B variety in Funck's catalog from plainer strikes of the same type.
