To the right of the portrait stands a detailed architectural rendering of a classical building associated with Klar's institute for the blind in Prague. The dates 1763 and 2013 flank the lower left of the portrait, commemorating the 250th anniversary of his birth. The inscription ALOYS KLAR arcs along the left rim in large capital letters.
