Obverse description Printed in brown on paper, the face is enclosed within an elaborate border of guilloche ornaments and stylized leaf motifs, with a large central rose window forming the principal decorative element. Four oval vignettes occupy the corners, each illustrating a different facet of Suriname's local economy, while the numeral '200' appears four times within circular rosettes at the cardinal points. Two manuscript signatures in black ink, representing the Director and the Director-President (Voorzitter) of De Surinaamsche Bank, appear at the base; examples encountered in collections are diagonally perforated 'WAARDELOOS' twice, indicating demonetization.
