The interstices of the star are filled with intricate foliate and arabesque relief ornament in a traditional Moroccan decorative style. A continuous bilingual legend in Arabic and Latin script encircles the design along the periphery, with the word ESSAI inscribed at the base of the central motif below the lower point of the star. |
