Aanvullende informatie

Algeria's 200-dinar bimetallic denomination was introduced in 2012 to mark the country's 50th anniversary of independence from France, ending 132 years of colonial rule — one of the longest in modern history. The denomination itself was new to Algerian coinage at that point, filling a gap between existing circulating pieces as the dinar's purchasing power continued to erode.

The 2022 date places this within the 60th anniversary year of independence.
