| Opis rewersu | The reverse depicts a dramatic high-relief representation of the ancient flint mine shafts and underground galleries at Krzemionki Opatowskie, with jagged rock faces and subterranean cavern walls filling the upper and right portions of the field. In the lower left, an outline relief of a prehistoric antler pick — the primary tool used by Neolithic miners — is shown resting against the rocky floor. At the center of the composition is an inset circular cabochon of authentic striped flint, the distinctive banded siliceous stone extracted at this UNESCO World Heritage site, set into the coin as a naturalistic specimen. The inscription KRZEMIONKI OPATOWSKIE curves along the lower right arc of the coin in incuse letters. The design exemplifies the Mint of Poland's hallmark integration of natural materials into collector coinage. |
