| Beschrijving keerzijde | A dynamic high-relief scene depicting a Polish Winged Hussar cavalryman charging at full gallop on horseback, lance leveled, with characteristic hussar wings visible behind the rider. In the background, an incuse schematic plan of a fortification is rendered in the field. The legend HODÓW arcs across the upper portion of the coin, while the date inscription 11 CZERWCA 1694 appears along the lower right, commemorating the Battle of Hodów. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Hodów was the site of a June 1694 cavalry engagement in which roughly 400 Polish hussars and pancerni held off an Ottoman and Tatar force estimated at several thousand — a ratio so lopsided that the battle entered Polish military historiography as a near-mythological example of the winged hussars' final operational peak. By the time this coin was issued, the 2018 series commemorating historic Polish military victories had already covered better-known engagements; Hodów was a deliberate choice to rescue a genuinely obscure action from specialist literature into broader public recognition.
