20 Złotych

This 2022 issue belongs to the continuing circulation series of the Third Polish Republic, printed domestically by PWPW — Poland being one of relatively few countries that manufactures its own banknotes in-house, a capability maintained deliberately since the communist period. The 20 złoty denomination has anchored everyday transactions since the 1995 redenomination, when the złoty was reintroduced at a ratio of 10,000 old złotych to one new.

Cotton substrate with intaglio printing is standard across this series; the security thread specification for the 2022 update has not been publicly detailed by NBP beyond general disclosure.
