| Reverse description | The reverse presents a composite aerial and landscape scene across the full width of the note, with a military helicopter in flight at centre-left and a fixed-wing aircraft in the upper portion, set against a wintry forest terrain vignette. A relief map of Poland's eastern border appears at right, overlaid with the Polish White Eagle coat of arms in a pale guilloche field. The denomination '20' and the issuer name 'NARODOWY BANK POLSKI' are printed at lower left in intaglio. |

This 2022 issue belongs to the continuing circulation series of the Third Polish Republic, printed domestically by PWPW — Poland being one of relatively few countries that manufactures its own banknotes in-house, a capability maintained deliberately since the communist period. The 20 złoty denomination has anchored everyday transactions since the 1995 redenomination, when the złoty was reintroduced at a ratio of 10,000 old złotych to one new.
Cotton substrate with intaglio printing is standard across this series; the security thread specification for the 2022 update has not been publicly detailed by NBP beyond general disclosure.
