| 正面描述 | Central field features the Bulgarian state coat of arms: a shield charged with a rampant lion on a vertically lined background, surmounted by a large royal crown with cross finial and detailed jewelled band. The legend СЪЕДИНЕНИЕТО ПРАВИ СИЛАТА curves along the upper periphery, while БЪЛГАРИЯ appears along the lower periphery, both separated by a pair of five-pointed stars at either side. The design is bordered by a continuous inner ring of beading set within a raised rim. |

Bulgaria's 1888 coinage program was Ferdinand I's first serious attempt to establish a functioning monetary infrastructure after the Great Powers recognized his disputed accession the previous year. These pattern issues were struck in multiple compositions as the new administration evaluated practical options for a circulating subsidiary coinage, copper-nickel being one of several candidates tested that year. The production series ultimately adopted for the 20 stotinki differed in composition.
KM#Pn10 is among the rarer survivors of that evaluation process — patterns of this type rarely left official hands.
