Obverse description Central field features the Bulgarian state coat of arms: a shield charged with a rampant lion on a vertically lined background, surmounted by a large royal crown with cross finial and detailed jewelled band. The legend СЪЕДИНЕНИЕТО ПРАВИ СИЛАТА curves along the upper periphery, while БЪЛГАРИЯ appears along the lower periphery, both separated by a pair of five-pointed stars at either side. The design is bordered by a continuous inner ring of beading set within a raised rim.
