Part of the long-running African Wildlife series produced by the Bavarian State Mint on behalf of Somalia, this fractional gold issue continues a program that has been struck annually since 2016 and has built a substantial collector base in Europe and Asia. The Somalian issuing authority is largely nominal — the coins are designed, struck, and distributed entirely through German infrastructure.
At 0.5g, the piece contains approximately one sixty-fourth of a troy ounce of fine gold.
