Obverse description The obverse of this oval silver coin features a draped bust of the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin set within an ornate arched frame with elaborate foliate and lyre motifs on either side, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The Belarusian state coat of arms is positioned at the apex of the arch. The curved legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs around the left and upper portions of the design. In the lower field, the denomination 20 РУБЛЁЎ appears prominently, flanked by the fineness mark Ag 925 to the left and the date 2009 to the right.
