| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a finely detailed, icon-style composition of the Theotokos of Barkalabava in high relief against a richly gilded foliate background. The Virgin Mary is shown in three-quarter view, draped in a blue-silver mantle, her right hand raised in a gesture of intercession, while she supports the Christ Child on her left arm. The Christ Child is rendered in frontal pose, offering a blessing. Abbreviated Cyrillic inscriptions identifying the figures appear in the upper corners in the traditional iconographic manner, and the inscription 'БАРКАЛАБАЎСКАЯ' is rendered in a cartouche at the lower edge, distinguishing this venerated Belarusian icon.
