| 背面描述 | The reverse features a central Arabic legend in two registers separated by a horizontal line, reading 'ضرب في' (Struck in) above and 'مصر' (Egypt) below, with the regnal year number '٢' appearing above the upper register. The Hijri accession year '١٢٧٧' (1277 AH) is inscribed in the lower field beneath the central legend. The design is enclosed within a continuous toothed milled border matching the obverse. |

Abdülaziz ascended to the Ottoman throne in 1861 following the death of his brother Abdülmecid I, and Egyptian coinage was immediately reissued under his tughra. Egypt at this point was nominally an Ottoman province under Khedive Said Pasha, though Said had been steadily expanding local autonomy — including control over the mint at Misr — in ways Constantinople tolerated but did not encourage. The 20 Qirsh was the workhorse denomination of Egyptian commerce, heavy enough to matter in large transactions but common enough to circulate widely along the Nile trade routes.
KM#260 corresponds specifically to the first regnal year issues, distinguished by their monogram style from later Abdülaziz Egyptian types.
