| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by an elaborate tughra-style calligraphic monogram of Muhammad Nadir Shah rendered in flowing Arabic script, enclosed within a circular border. The regnal year ١٣٤٨ (1348 AH) appears in Eastern Arabic numerals at the base of the central device. A legend in Arabic script arcs along the upper periphery, while the entire central composition is framed by outward-sweeping foliate or wheat-ear branches forming a wreath that extends around the lower half of the coin. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Nadir Shah seized power in October 1929 after ousting Habibullah Kalakani, the Tajik insurgent who had briefly toppled Amanullah Khan's modernizing regime. This coin belongs to the immediate re-stabilization period, when Nadir Shah was rebuilding state institutions — including a functioning coinage system — from scratch. The two-year span reflects the rapid normalization effort rather than any planned series transition.
Nadir Shah was assassinated in November 1933 by a student during a school awards ceremony, making his entire reign a compressed four-year episode.
