Two circular medallions occupy the left vertical panel, the upper bearing an equestrian figure of St. George and the lower a foliate ornamental design, separated by a vertical guilloche border. The lower half carries the full promissory text in script and letterpress, with the denomination £20 repeated at lower left and right, two manuscript signature lines for the Governor and Treasurer, and the imprint of G. Waterston & Sons, Ld. at the foot. |
