Obverse description The obverse carries a watermark panel at left, the colonial coat of arms of Fiji at centre, and a portrait of King George V at right. The design is set against a fine guilloche underprint with the issuing authority's title rendered in letterpress. Denomination indications appear in both words and numerals within the surrounding border.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by an elaborate multicolour guilloche vignette occupying the full field, with the issuing authority title 'GOVERNMENT OF FIJI' set in a central cartouche framed by intricate lathe-work borders. A large circular watermark reserve panel occupies the right portion of the note, left blank to accommodate the watermark on genuine issued notes.
