At the center of the field stands the emblem of the Convent of the Brothers of Mercy: a Latin cross surmounting a stylized pomegranate flower in bloom, the traditional symbol of the order. Below the device, the place name 'REICHEN' and 'BACH', separated by bullet stops, is inscribed in two lines. The surrounding circular legend reads 'CONVENT●DER●BARMHERZIGEN●BRÜDER', running clockwise around the field. A small circular hole pierces the upper portion of the coin just inside the pearl border. |
